opinion

i would like opinions. if you don't feel like getting philosophical, a simple yes or no will suffice (even though i would prefer an explanation). do you agree with the saying: 'it is not what happens to you that matters, but how you take it.' a more popular way to put it is: "life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it."

i will give $100 to anybody who can solve this equation for my corporate finance class:

1000 = 45 {[1/(y/2)] X [1-(1/((1+y/2)^20))]} + [1000/(1+(y/2)^20)]

***btw, i guess and checked the answer, i would like somebody to solve it algebraically

a few things from church on sunday:

--fear is really just the absence of faith

--salvation may be free, but it is not cheap

--ecclesiastes 3: our time is God's

--philippians 4:19: and my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus

top five reasons why i like my job this week (as opposed to last week when i almost quit):

--william sings to me in chinese.. apparently the only english word he knows how to say (but i don't think he knows what it means) is "kick, kick, kick", of which he says while laughing hysterically

--i had ZERO screamers/cryers... finally

--i still haven't been puked on

-- it is eighty-something degrees outside, so i don't feel quite so mad at having to wear a swimsuit

--the boss who i am upset at for making me work when i was sick and had a doctor's note telling me not to work wasn't there (hmmm... maybe she got sick?!)

picture of the post, simply because it makes me smile:
